If you are like most people, you want to make the most out
of each and every day. You want to wake up with the intent to accomplish
something or work towards something. If not, I highly encourage you adopt this
mindset. With that being said I will provide a simple way of doing so. For
starters think of a long-term goal that you would like to achieve. Whether it
be traveling to another country, or competing in an event that you are
interested in but currently are not prepared for. Now that you have a rough
idea of that long-term goal, start to break it down in realistic steps that you
can chip away at day by day. Now that you have a goal in mind and an idea of
what it takes daily to reach said goal, you are almost done! Now, think right
now of a goal you can accomplish throughout the day after reading this.
Something simple such as drinking a set amount of water to taking the stairs
more than you usually would. This may seem a bit silly but the reality is while
you are working toward your long term goal day by day, you need something that
you can say you accomplished at the end of each day so that you truly do feel a
sense of accomplishment while at the same time piecing together your ultimate
accomplishment which is your long term goal. Doing these two things in unison
each day gives you a defined purpose despite what you may be going through each
day whether it is a good day or a bad one. Accomplish something everyday,
because we only have a finite amount of days to do so.

Don't be yourself...
The
one time I will encourage the complete opposite of what I preach of being
yourself: Halloween! There is only one time a year where it is highly
encouraged to be anything but yourself (within legal and moral parameters).
It can be quite the tiresome feat to be able to be wholly yourself for 364 consecutive
days in a year, trust me I struggle with it daily. That being said, there is
one time a year where you can be whoever your heart desires whether that be
your favorite cartoon character or what you perceive to be considered a hero. I
personally love to go all out on Halloween when it comes to nailing a specific
character, whether it involves being familiar with that characters signature
pose to the way they talk all the way down to hair color, if necessary. Should
you dye your hair in order to perfect the ultimate costume? Well, I personally
see nothing wrong with it however keep in mind you will have to unfortunately come
back to the realm of reality in the very near future and not everyone is on
board with pulling out all the stops on Halloween. Now once you have achieved
the ultimate costume it is now time to play the part. Fully embrace the
character you are attempting to be. Remember, you ordinarily are boring bob who
has quite different characteristics from the character you are portraying so be
sure to BE the character, don’t just wear the costume (Sorry for any Bobs I may
have offended). In closing the last bit of advice I have is this, start
thinking of a costume now or at least early on. Don’t be that guy or girl who
waits until the last minute and throws on the most cliché costume there is.
While there is nothing wrong with having a cliché costume, just know that this
is your opportunity to not be yourself and that is for once the goal here!

What ¿ recommends you get NOW
Today I am going to recommend a product to all you people
out there. Actually, it is more of a service in the form of a membership, but either
way it is an essential service in my humble opinion. What is the service you
ask? Well, point blank it is a gym membership. No I am not implying that all
you cool people out there are out of shape and are in need of a bit of exercise
to shed those perceived pounds. In fact, I am recommending this service for a
completely different reason. As cliché as it may sound, as many times as you
may have heard it, working out does relieve stress. However, more importantly
it occupies your mind as you are focused on the task at hand which could be a
multitude of activities whilst “gymming”. In this fast paced three ring circus
we call life, it is not unheard of to have a million things running through
your head at once, however I have personally noticed that while I do not
necessarily workout in order to relieve stress, I do it in order to clear my
head and just not think for a while as working out usually tends to not require
much thought(unless you have specific goals ie. Bodybuilding). That all being
said it is extremely important to just not think for a while or at least think
about a few things as opposed to having your mind race. The added benefit of an
actual gym membership over just simply working out in your garage or going for
a run is that you are amongst other beings and you are in some ways feeding off
their energy as well as potentially seeking out motivation from them. Go join a
gym, lose yourself in it, enjoy the company of the others around you while
there without having to actively interact. I assure you, you will eventually
cease to think and time will pass and you will feel good about yourself after
with a fresh clear mind. ¿

Life may just have a meaning
What better way to start a blog about the intellectual explanation
covering a wide range of topics than with the question of all questions, what
is the meaning of life? What is our purpose as living, breathing beings?
Equipped with something as powerful as a conscience self-aware mind there
should most certainly be an explanation. Well, I have the most simplistic yet
convoluted answer for that question: there is no meaning to life. Scary, right?
Seeing as how I gave a rather bleak response one would imagine that I
would have a very elaborate explanation as to why there is no meaning. I am
sure you guessed already that, no, I in fact do not have an elaborate reason as
to why. What I do have is an explanation that I personally believe should put
anyone who has ever pondered this very question to an extent in which it has
driven them a bit crazy, if you will, at ease. There really is no meaning to
life because life’s meaning is found all within the actual word, life, or
rather to live. Yes, what I am saying is that the meaning to life itself is
simply to live and let live. To NOT ponder such a question and seek out such a
powerful answer but rather to live in general. However, if you are anything
like myself that is nowhere near good enough an explanation so to go one step
further in addition to living it is to experience life to its fullest and while
that may seem definitive it truly is not. In fact living life to its fullest is
completely is extremely subjective. I challenge you to apply this answer to
your lives even if only for a day.
