As a perfect follow up to my last
post and my top 3 things a budding intellectual should attempt, I bring to your
attention a great article about 3 habits that you should pick up and utilize
immediately(http://elitedaily.com/life/3-lifehack-habits/1183940/
). The first habit they mention regards taking risks and how
you should tackle the decision whether or not to take said risk. The thing
about risks as they mention in the article basically comes down to will you
regret not going with it? If the answer is yes, then obviously you should not
pass it up. If the answer is no, then you should obviously not endure it.
However, id like to highlight the grey ahead. The “I’m not sure” or if you’re
anything like me and extremely indecisive it is always “I have no idea what the
right answer is”. In that case your best bet would be to consider the pros and
cons, and if the pro side wins out by even one, do it. Next is a fairly simple
yet quite interesting tidbit of advice: if you enjoy a piece that was written
than you should write to the author and let them know. This is a habit that
could greatly benefit you as you could quite possibly open up a plethora of
future connections by simply giving kudos to the author that wrote it. This
could open up many doors for you as anyone who puts out any type of written
piece would love to hear from their audience(hint hint). Lastly, the final
habit they encourage you to adopt is working without pay on projects that truly
interest you. Yes, you should definitely have a steady job to support yourself,
but you should also most certainly participate in projects that interest you in
your free time whether paid or just volunteer work. Why? Well for starters you
could be on the verge of a potential career switch if this side gig turns out
to be lucrative, furthermore it will help you maintain sanity if you are
working a rather mundane regular career that you may not fully enjoy.
Well, there
you have it. The article above highlights 3 very interesting habits that I as
well as the author believe you should adopt ASAP. Until next time my fellow
intellectual beings¿
